During an interview with Fox’s “America’s Newsroom,” Dallas Mavericks owner and “Shark Tank” investor Mark Cuban demanded minimum wage be raised to $15 an hour.
According to Breitbart, Cuban claimed “people at the bottom” need higher wages so they spend more.
“I think the minimum wage has got to go up to $15,” Cuban said. “Now, recognize it’s not going to impact everybody. Most people are making more on average … than the minimum wage. But still, those people at the bottom, we need to bring them up. this is such a unique situation where consumerism, where retail sales just stopped. we need to have people at the bottom having money so they can spend it and they can live their lives. So many more people will have to go on unemployment and other government services without it.”
“[F]or those people who need it, it’s a huge change and changes their lives. And again, it also takes them off government services,” he said. You can read the full details of this story here.
